Education Cooperation Strengthens Global Youth Development
Korea–Thailand Friendship Association and SBI Global Network Expand International Educational Partnerships Across ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific
Bangkok, Thailand — International educational collaboration in the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific region continues to advance as the Korea–Thailand Friendship Association (KTFA) embarked on an official visit to strengthen partnerships with SBI Global Network, reinforcing a shared commitment to developing future global leaders through education, cultural understanding, and international cooperation.
Led by the President of the Korea–Thailand Friendship Association, the delegation included distinguished representatives from the Republic of Korea, as well as faculty members from Seoul National University. During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Thirada Suwannasri, President of SBI Global Network, to exchange perspectives on educational innovation, youth development, and strategies for expanding academic collaboration between institutions across the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific regions.
The discussions focused on establishing long-term partnerships that promote educational excellence through student and faculty exchanges, collaborative learning initiatives, and innovative educational practices. Both parties emphasized the importance of equipping young people with the knowledge, leadership, and intercultural competencies necessary to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
As part of the official program, the delegation also visited Shinawatra University, one of Thailand’s leading international universities. The visit provided valuable insights into the university’s international academic environment, including its internationally recognized Psychology programs offered at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. The delegation also learned about the university’s diverse student community, which brings together learners from Thailand and many countries around the world, creating a truly multicultural learning environment.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Thirada Suwannasri highlighted the broader significance of regional educational cooperation.
“Building collaborative networks across ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific is not simply about connecting educational institutions—it is about creating new opportunities for young people to learn, exchange experiences, and grow together through intercultural understanding, leadership, and a shared sense of global responsibility. When we invest in education and international collaboration, we invest in a future where young people are empowered to become leaders who can create positive change for society and the world.”
The meeting marks another significant milestone in strengthening educational cooperation between the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and countries throughout the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific region. The partnership aims to promote knowledge sharing, internationalization, educational innovation, and human potential development while expanding opportunities for young people to gain international perspectives and prepare for leadership in the global community.
By fostering stronger relationships among educational institutions and international organizations, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to developing Global Citizens—individuals who possess integrity, leadership, intercultural competence, and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse cultures while contributing to sustainable global development.
As a regional network dedicated to education, psychology, leadership, and human potential development, SBI Global Network continues to strengthen partnerships with universities, educational institutions, government agencies, and international organizations across ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific. Through these collaborations, the organization seeks to create meaningful educational opportunities that inspire innovation, encourage lifelong learning, and empower future generations.
