From November 7-9, 2024, Dr. Thirada Suwannasri, Chair of International Relations, represented Thailand at the Regional Counseling Convention (RISE) 2024 held at the EPF Learning Center, Yong Peng, Malaysia. This event was organized by PERKAMA International in collaboration with EPF Malaysia, and was officially opened by the Minister of Health of Malaysia.Dr. Thirada played a key role in the conference, fostering ASEAN-level collaboration in academics, professional support, and the exchange of perspectives and experiences with experts from various countries in the region. The event aimed to enhance the field of counseling and psychology across ASEAN.
Key Highlights of the Conference

  1. International Academic Conference
    The conference focused on mental health and well-being in an era of rapid change, welcoming participants from diverse fields such as guidance counselors, community psychologists, HR managers, and interested individuals from both ASEAN and beyond.

  3. ASEAN Leaders’ Panel Discussion
    Dr. Thirada Suwannasri presented Thailand’s psychological assistance systems and approaches while exchanging ideas and experiences with leaders from other countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

  4. Building Regional Networks
    The event facilitated discussions among ASEAN representatives to plan future collaboration, including agreements for Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to advance the field of psychology regionally.
