Dr. Thirada Suwannasri, President of SBI Global Network, an international collaboration network in psychology and education, and Head of International Relations of G-PAT, has been honored with an invitation from the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM) to participate in the ASEAN Peers Convention (APC) 2025, a significant regional platform dedicated to youth development and student well-being in the ASEAN region.
The convention is organized by the UPNM Peer Leaders Club, in collaboration with the Malaysian Public Universities Counsellors Network (MAKUMA), the Malaysian Counselling Association (PERKAMA), and the ASEAN Counselling Association (ASCON). The event brings together distinguished experts, academics, professionals in psychology and counselling, as well as youth leaders from ASEAN member countries.
The ASEAN Peers Convention 2025 aims to serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and policy perspectives on student mental health and well-being, peer support and peer leadership, as well as the development of collaborative networks among educational institutions and youth-focused organizations across the region.
In addition, the convention emphasizes the enhancement of youth leadership, cross-cultural communication skills, teamwork, and the establishment of ASEAN-level peer support networks, preparing young people to become future leaders with strong social awareness, psychological insight, and respect for cultural diversity.
Dr. Thirada Suwannasri’s participation in this convention marks another important milestone for SBI Global Network and G-PAT in expanding their roles in international educational cooperation and youth development initiatives. This reflects a strong commitment to empowering ASEAN youth to grow in a balanced manner—academically, socially, and psychologically—and to become responsible and high-quality global citizens.
